JoAnne Dodgson is a healer, teacher, and ceremonial guide in the ways of Ka Ta See, a tradition from the Eastern Andes.
JoAnne offered a Throwing of the Bones ceremony to answer the following question about the land where the first Crystal Earth Pavilion will be built in Santa Fe.
Question asked by Walter Reifslager:
We’ve been told that this land is very special, connected to other places around the world and possibly well beyond this world. How can this land with this technology connect everyone that has come to be a part of this project to their higher identities, to ancient truths, and to these distant worlds?
Pointer Lines These bones tell their story by energy lines or pointer bones, and don’t represent a particular spirit, but create an energy line through the ground.
1st Pointer Line/bone – starts in the hand on the right side. This is the hand of the physical world, 3D life, it represents the masculine energy. The energy line crosses through the lower part of the diagram and comes down in the left side in the roots. If we look at this energy flow, what the spirits are describing, there is a tool being held— this land, this technology. What is held in this hand is a tool, how are you building your life? Where this carries, the whole energy flow is rooted in the feminine. We could hear that as Mother Earth, we could hear that in the vision. So now what is being built is really rooted in the vision of this project. It is a very accurate flow how the spirits see what’s happening up to this point.
2nd Pointer Line/bone – crosses the 1st pointer line. Starts in the right foot and sweeps thru the center and comes to the left foot. There’s a lot in this bone throw about what are you walking, this technology, the gifts, the medicines of the lands, the structures, the temples, the beacons. Their supporting humans walk on this planet. So far both of these flows are a beautiful balance of masculine and feminine. That is a harmony, something in our contemporary world and that for many generations has been out of harmony. The land, the temples, the purpose, is creating this harmony, the intersection, the dance, the joining of the masculine and feminine. That is what is talked about in the first bones in the throw, the tree frog and wind.
Tree Frog and Wind represent balance – there’s a natural flow that’s leading to balance. The way to balance is found is by remembering who you really are. When you’re living in that knowingness you’re resonating that out and touching all life with that knowing. It is creating balance on the earth. This project is being described as a generator of balance, a creator of balance for those who come in contact, whatever way it may be: whether through physical contact, though healing from the vision, maybe connecting with some of the structures that have already been built. The project is a generator of balance in a very holistic and global way. There is no end point of that balance. It doesn’t stop in the inside of that individual. It resonates far, far beyond.
The piece/bone that would represent the land itself is the Sea Turtle Bone/Spirit – spirits said you wanted to represent the land in your question. This bone (sea turtle) does that and it is right near the heart chakra and it is in its fullest expression at home. So there’s something very at home about where you’ve chosen to build the temple(s) and beacon(s).
The piece/bone that represents living in your song (soul) is the sun –it is touching the sea turtle bone and the aspen grove is next to it as well. Aspen grove is about holistic health and well-being. The home place of these temples and beacons, these structures you’re creating and planting are serving the awakening of song (one’s soul). In humanity being in the truth of humanity, leaving behind judgements, hierarchy, no one is better than anyone or anything – that is what is being created. Aspen grove teaches about moving people into a health that is holistic. The aspen trees look like individuals but they’re all connected (root structure) as a whole. This project is about living in your wholeness. The land and what’s happening on the land is creating that capacity.
Eagle Bone/Spirit – is about vision, seeing oneself in the wholeness of you, not just the physical or linear you and the labels you have about yourself. It is about shedding this story and the things that keep you in limited concepts and instead relating with anyone and anything on the planet. It is a wide, wide vision of the linear and non linear woven together. That’s what these structures and the land is creating– the change in people’s visions widening and deepening, not just of themselves but of all beings and life.
Osprey Bone/Spirit – asks what’s the legacy you’re leaving behind. When osprey is asking this question it is not about when we die – they are talking about today, this moment, tomorrow morning. What is the legacy you’re leaving, what’s the energy exuding, how are your actions being taken and what are they leaving behind. All of this is happening around this home, the land, the structures that are being created there, the intent that’s being held for the land.
Deer Bone/Spirit – is nearby and it represents the spirits, very near the heart and they are saying they want to be talked with even more, connected with, asked in. They’re participating and they have even more to share about the possibilities of what can be.
Location where the energy lines are criss crossing – has to do with relationships, people, and communication. They’re in the part of the ground that represents living your song (soul/essence). Which is represented by the bone piece, the Sun up near the home, the land. Part of what’s being generated in this project is a new weaving of relationships
2 Bobcat Bone/Spirit pieces – that represent relationships.
Spider Bone/Spirit – sitting right between the bobcat piece, weaving a new web. Its a new cultivation of relationships human to human, human to other beings, human people come to relate with the land, temples, structures, and beacons. There’s a whole new relational dynamic being created.
Prairie Dog Bone/Spirit – is in between the bobcat as well. It is talking about communication that is wide open. Prairie dogs have a very intricate language and they speak as a community from all different places and perspectives. They speak above ground, below ground, with their bodies, they speak with movement, tapping the ground. There’s something here, this project that’s awakening song, awakening humanity, its awakening relationships that are authentic. Heart to heart relationships, song to song, wholeness to wholeness, respect to respect. New forms of communication and the land itself, the temples, the structures are communicators, they’re communicating. They’re helping reweave a new form of communication in humans that are touched by them and the people touched by them do not have to come in the proximity to the temples/land.
Sandhill Crane Bone/Spirit – is near the bobcat bones and sandhill crane talks about relationships. They teach about relationships by the way they migrate. So it is the whole group yet they are all individuals that create structure, create this V. But none of the individuals lose themselves and all the individuals are vital in this V. They talk in a exquisite language and they’re all heading somewhere together. They know why they’re together and they know where they’re heading. The sandhill crane is saying that something is getting rewoven in our relational world as humans. What is the purpose of our togetherness as family, friends, community. What’s the purpose and where are you heading. Sandhill crane said something about the gift that’s coming in humanity’s awakening by the effect of what’s being created by the Crystal Earth Project is an entirely new relational world. That’s flavored by balance, that’s tree frog the beginning of it all.
Where this energy line flows is thru the eye on the left, that’s the feminine, visioning, part of what’s getting re-visioned as described by the Coral Reef Bone/Spirit are our structures of everyday life. The coral build these incredible structures, the reefs. As the coral are alive, that structure is always being re-built/generated. So part of this balance is creating a new way of first visioning then building the structures of our everyday life. Sometimes people think spirituality has nothing to do with our everyday life. The spirits are saying this awakening has everything to do with changing the movement of everyday life. The basics of food, people, money, space, what do you do with your time, how do you flow thru the day, week, month – these are structures of everyday life. They’re organic and alive.
Cluster of bones that represent technology – Chimpanzee Bone/Spirit teaches about this. Chimpanzee shows when something’s shaken up and it also shows the gift of technology. This is in the part of the ground that represents the new moon. Something new, innovative is shaking things up to a more authentic understanding of what’s happening with this technology. The new moon is in very present time. Spirits are talking here, now about the effects of this technology and the technology can be something that understood as a teacher, Wolf Bone/Spirit – wolves are teachers. They’re sharing information and offering guidance. Osha root spirit – are teachers about healing and the lizard Bone/Spirit – are teachers about waking up. Whale Bone/Spirit – is about making strong commitments to continuing with this technology and to understand without any limitation, the gifts of the possibilities. The temples and beacons are conscious, they’re alive and they’re teaching and they’re sharing. We don’t have to shut that down into what that must be, has to be, or what we believe it to be.
3rd Pointer line/bone – goes to the left hand, it starts in the right hand and it ends in the left hand, beautiful balance. It is the masculine and feminine and the tools you use to build your life and the tools you use to vision. So what’s happening around this land and why its effective and how it is creating the effects it has. What’s being described here is nurturing a space for wholeness.
The Python Bone/Spirit and the Starfish Bone/Spirit. The python can constrict, can squeeze the life out of something. The mama python wraps her body around the eggs and holds that space until the little ones emerge. So the pythons talk about a space that creates birthing. It is the warmth of the body and it’s the staying with it till the birthing occurs. That’s how the python bone/spirit is sitting here embracing the starfish bone/spirit that represents/talks about wholeness. That’s the land, the structures, and the how it’s going about doing what it’s doing may remain a mystery. The 3rd pointer line is saying where are you heading. This is where this project, the efforts is carrying you, all of us, and the possibilities for all life on this planet. Now and who knows how far to come, as described by the Osprey.
Bear Bone/Spirit – Bear talks about gratitude. Its located in this throw in the womb area and its sitting touching the bee goddess – represents endless life potential and a lot of fertility. The bee goddess is touching is the sandhill crane so there are incredible possibilities around reconstructing relationships — our ways of relating on this planet – human to human and to all life on this planet. Gratitude is a medicine that wants to be brought to the project and it will really wake up the new forms of relating to ourselves and each other that are possible here. Gratitude is a welcoming of the gifts and the bee goddess is saying the potential here, the fertility here is just boundless. So welcome that in. Allow wide open space for the vast possibilities of what can be birthed. There is no limit, no limit…
